how to get your TIN no.
981-8888 (BIR Contact Center) to ask for you own TIN no.
In spite of my busy schedule, it’s really amazing how I find it easy to squeeze in my secretarial work in my everyday list of tasks. Yes, you read it right, I’m working as a part-time personal secretary of Mr.Marlon Dawas. (taga remind ng mga bagay bagay … “o Marlon, diba may meeting ka ngayon”, “o kailangan mong itext ngayon si ganito ganyan”, “kailangan ngayon isubmit ang post-dated cheques”, “ang bills ngayon ang deadline”, “ang phone line mo, ienroll natin online at nang madaling tignan ang details ng bill mo”, “and Certificate of Employment mo irequest mo na kay …” and list goes on and on and on…
One hectic afternoon, I received a text message from Marlon, “Mil, can you find my TIN no. and send it to me via sms now.” I replied “Lon, where do you expect me to get that? If I ask our HR, they wouldn’t send it to me because that’s confidential information. Have you listed it down somewhere? Is it in your mobile ped? (but I don’t have your key!) It’s in your e-payslip, but I don’t have your TP right now. (**and that I’m not allowed to open your TP**) Is it listed somewhere? Do you remember a site where I can find it registered in your account, then I’ll just open it for you? Why didn’t you keep track of your own TIN? Why haven’t you listed down your TIN no. on a paper then kept it in your wallet or notebook and why haven’t you saved it in your CP? Now I have to dig in all your documents in all cabinets etc.?? And why do you expect it now? I haven’t eaten lunch yet and you want me to go find your TIN no.? I’ve got something to finish today. Urgh!”
I don’t really buy the option of looking for the document at home because I’ve got so many things to do (o baka tinatamad lang akong umuwi at hanapin yun) Sabi nga nila, “pag gusto, maraming paraan, pag ayaw, maraming palusot” O cya, ayun, nahanap ko rin ang TIN no. nya nang hindi umuuwi…. Ang gamit ko lang ay ang aking laptop.
Ala lang…. Some more thoughts:Bakit kaya ganon? Sadyang ang lalaki ba ay mas magulo at hindi organisado? Bakit ang mga babae, bihira lang mahirapang maghanap ng mga importanteng detalye…
Ako naman, para hindi ako mahirapang hanapin ito, just in case I need my TIN No. I did the ff:
- listed it down on my planner
- listed it down on the last page my notebook which contained notes for all job-related stuff
- saved it in my cellphone
- filled-out the TIN No. field in the bank account e-registration so that I can just open the that site and view my account details on-line.
I also listed it down on my:
- ITR
- e-payslip
- Insurance Policy (?)
