The success of The Dark Knight and Terminator Salvation simply means one thing for Christian Bale – he must star in another blockbuster film. There are talks around that he is working on a sequel to the Batman saga as proven by his current his profile in IMDB. There is an Untitled Batman Project listed under project in development.

Many say the next movie will include Robin. A hint was raised when recently; Transformers’ Shia LeBeouf was asked if he is willing to play Robin. No one knows else will join him and who will be his next villain. An article in thespoof.com talks about Robin Williams (star for the films Patch Adams, RV, and Bicentennial man) as the new Joker but this might be less than possible after the award winning performance of Heath Ledger for the same role. Other possible villains are Riddler, Bane, Poison Ivy, or Penguin.
