Danger: Identity Theft
In one of the issues of Reader’s Digest, I came across an article about identity theft. The person reported the problem to different authorities, identity theft protection advisers, her friends and relatives, and more. Unfortunately, the article ended without the problem being resolved.
With the growth of technology, identity theft is becoming an issue. Several websites, such as Facebook and other social networking sites, now offer your information to the public. It may not be that complete, but it still exposes your information.
These issues are actually being addressed different internet security organization. Note that some websites will provide terms and conditions regarding handling your personal data especially during their registration process. It’s highly recommended that you check on this especially if the website that you want to register to is unknown to many.
