Candles are one of the items used as decorations. In some parties, candles play an important role in making a good atmosphere for the event. One popular design is letting a candle is float in a nearby water area or placed in a bowl in an elevated location.

Floating candles are typically small candles designed to float nicely on water. Sometimes, flowers are placed together with the candle to disperse fragrance around the room and create a good ambiance.

Make a Floating Candle

To do this, you will need a container for the water, water of course, and the candles. If you want, you can also prepare flower petals, perfume and special cloth as table top.

In selecting floating candles, you need to consider the color, the size, and the scent of the candle. There are numerous floating candles that can be purchased both online and in-store. Some of them are as simple as a small white candle, while others come in more sophisticated form. Such form resembles a flower, a cube shaped box, a cupcake, fruit slices and a lot more.

The floating candle bowls should match the floating candle that you selected. Depending on the plan you want for the place and the design of the candle, you need to choose the right sizes and colors. Large floating candle bowls allows more candles and will provide brighter lighting. Smaller and individually prepared candles and bowl will provide lesser lighting for an area but eventually give enough light if properly positioned. Again, this totally depends on how you want the place to look like.

The flower petals and perfume adds more fragrance to the place and creates a more relaxing environment. Floating candle bowls placed on top of a beautifully designed cloth serves as additional decoration.

The design of floating candles depends on other conditions such as the location to where it will be placed and the event happening. Larger floating candle bowls are nice centerpiece decorations for get-togethers, while a lot of smaller individually lighted floating candles are ideal for wider rooms or areas.
