After a long wait, Marlon had bought his new camera – a digital SLR. He was choosing between Nikon and Canon digital cameras, then between Canon 1000d and 450d. Being a beginner, he opted for the 1000d because of the cheaper price.

Although the 450d and 1000d look identical, some differences include the resolution (mega pixels), weight and the hand grip of the camera. Generally, the specs of the 1000d is lower than the 450d. A notable feature is that the 1000d is the lightest Canon DSLR in the market so far.

So we played around with it and got a few shots from the newly opened Eastwood Mall, which had a soft opening last Saturday – November 15, 2008. The mall is nicely-built but the flooring is just so ordinary. Most of the shops are signature brands. Only 30-35% of the shops are open I guess so there’s much to look forward to. Starbucks, The Timezone and Eastwood Cinemas are at the fourth floor and there’s Italianni’s and the CCA (Center for Culinary Arts) at the 3rd floor. The CCA can offer convenience to the residents of Eastwood who’d want to enroll in culinary. The mall is also connected to the Richmonde Hotel.
