Aired just last January third, this episode depicted several what-if scenarios from different character’s lives.

Susan thought of ‘what if I did not let Karl leave me’. She ended up being fat and unattractive, that even Mike Delfino disgusts here. Karl eventually left her still.

Bree contemplated on life without her husband Orson. She went on to have an affair with Karl, leaving Orson be heartbroken for a long time.
Lynette imagined a future with her unborn children. Nothing related to best prenatal vitamins were shown, but she thought her life raising a child with physical disability.
Gabrielle dreamed her daughter becoming an actress. She ended up being left by Carlos and have to suffer during the latter stage of her life.

Lastly, Angie pictured their lives if her secretes were revealed. She would spend the rest of her life in prison.

These thoughts of course were mere pigments of their imagination. They were not the exact events that happened eventually, but it gave the characters something to think about.

A good episode and title – ‘If’…

For the desperate housewives fans, brace yourselves for the final episodes of season 5. The break between the episodes is a bit irregular but it doesn’t stop fans from clamoring for more. I’m not sure if there will be season 6, but I definitely hope so.
