This means that the lineup will be as strong as before: Fisher, Bryant, Gasol, Artest, Odom, Bynum. The roster looks scary – and expensive. Not sure if LA Lakers is the richest franchise in the NBA, but judging by the names of their players, I believe they belong to the top 5.

It can be remembered that the Lakers defeated the Magic, sending the latter team packing for their Orlando vacations. Honestly, I hoped for a Nuggets-Magic showdown just to make the 2009 Finals a non-Lakers and non-Celtics show. This didn’t happen and the Lakers proved to be the best team for the season. There is a great chance that they will have a repeat. But then, everybody said that when Celtics won last year.
