How to Fix Sticky Piano Keys
Professional pianists regularly play at the Eastwood City mall. I witnessed some of them and I think that they also perform at some prestigious venues like restaurants, casinos and hotel with luxury hotel rooms. I admire their skills, and with constant practice, I’m trying my best to improve mine.
During one of my practice sessions, I was having great time playing my piano when suddenly, without any reason at all, something went wrong to two major keys. The keys did not return to their original position and no sound can be heard when I hit them. I’ve been hit by the “sticky key syndrome”. I was thinking of calling a piano repairman to have it checked. I guessed that my piano needs some tuning too. But it will probably take days before it is fixed, and of course some cash.
I asked Marlon to look into it and see what he can do. The next thing I remember, I was staring at a bare piano. It’s amazing that I got a look at the beauty inside my precious instrument.

We looked for any foreign object that might have fallen between the keys. Next, we checked the springs, and all other things connected to the key but they all seem to be working. We checked everything, but the keys were still sticky. The last thing we did was to slowly detach the non-functional keys to a level about an inch from their original position, then returned them. And just like magic, the keys are working again.
I’m very glad we managed to fix it because I didn’t spend any amount for the piano repair.
