This post is for those who want to know how to get their TIN (Tax Identification Number).

If you wish to get your TIN Number, contact 02-981-8888 (BIR Contact Center) to ask for you own TIN no.

There’s also an available portal wherein you can get your TIN no. online. The site is https://ereg.bir.gov.ph/ereg/welcome.do

Usually, the company you would apply to will be the one to fix all the necessary paperworks to help you secure your TIN number. You will just fill out the form that they will give to you.

Once you get your own TIN number, you must keep it somewhere handy because it is always asked when you fill out forms from important transactions like opening a new bank/credit card account, applying for a loan, purchasing a property, and many more.

For me, just in case I need my TIN No. I did the ff:

listed it down on my planner

listed it down on the last page my notebook which contained notes for all job-related stuff

saved it in my cellphone

filled-out the TIN No. field in the bank account e-registration so that I can just open the that site and view my account details on-line.

I also listed it down on my:

ITR

e-payslip

Insurance Policy
