Another Wedding…
There was another wedding but this time, it’s not me who’s invited, but my friend Merryll. Her boyfriend’s sister got married! Like me, Merryll was as excited to attend this wedding. She was one of the bridesmaids. The motif was gold. And she tried to find the perfect shoes that will match her dress. She was required to find a red shoes. To add to that, her shoe size is quite big so she found it difficult to scout for a the perfect footwear…
I got to see her pictures and it was okay. She was pretty. Thanks to David’s Salon who took care of her hair and make-up but they overdid it. It took them 1 hr. and 30 minutes and… yes, they arrived late. Merryll and Mark (her boyfried), didn’t get the chance to be part of the entourage. There were more than 3 bridesmaids so her absence was okay.
So much to this, I think they’re lucky that they were late. Why? Because there’s an old belief that those lovers who march together along the Church’s aisle before getting married will soon break up. I don’t believe in this, but I also would like to avoid coincidences. :D
Janice & Vlamir’s Wedding
I’m really fond of attending weddings. I like to observe the details in one’s wedding in the hopes of getting ideas for preparing my own wedding. I like attending weddings more than attending birthday parties, christenings and of course, funeral rites. I guess because fairy tales were impressed in me during my childhood days.
Ja and Vlam’s wedding is really something that I had prepared for. Even before Vlamir (my ex-officemate in HP) left to pursue their family business, I already hinted him that I’d love to be invited in his wedding. Surely, because Vlam is one kind person, he didn’t forget to drop me an invite even if I’m already in a different company, IBM. His wife Janice was also an IBMer.
I know for a fact that their wedding will be the wedding of the year (at least among my friends). The reception was at the Isla Ballroom, Edsa Shang. The exchange of vows was held at Grace Christian Church in Quezon City.
A week before the wedding, I was rushing to find a really good and elegant dress to wear at their wedding. I was choosing between two dresses, one from Linoi, which is a maroon long, elegant gown (P4000). The other was a gold tube, knee-length silk dress with a hint of black strip just above the waistline, and black ruffles flowing underneath (P2000). I just ended up buying the cheaper one because I will still be needing budget for the accessories.
Their wedding was cool! It was just like watching a noon-time show with exchanges of heart-warming songs from the Go and Rabo families. I really enjoyed this wedding because I witnessed how sincerely Vlam & Ja loved each other. Another reason why I was extremely happy to attend this wedding is because I got to bond with my close friends from HP – Mich, Jonpe, George, Joseph, Alvin, Manuel, Daisie, Francis, Geebee and Becca. Michie’s soon-to-be husband James also joined us.
I’ll post more details when I get the time :D
