While on vacation in Baguio, I was able to watch an episode in discovery channel about a horse-rider, complete with equestrian apparel and gears, accidentally fell into a canal. The rider was trapped by the horse that happened to be upside down. Both the horse and the person were in critical condition. It took hours before they were sighted and eventually saved, though they needed a helicopter and even devised a special carrier just to lift the horse away from the canal. The exceptional part was that during the rescue operation, the person was more concerned about the horse than herself.
