Things to Consider before Having a Baby
Most couples, particularly newly weds are keen to have a baby. Here are two things to consider prior to having a baby, as summarized from different sources.
First is to check on the couple’s emotional maturity. The partner should be mature enough to understand and accept the responsibilities of being a parent. It involves a lot of hardships and sacrifice, and being mature would greatly help in dealing with this. Having the right mindset will definitely help the couple to survive and go on despite the challenges faced.
Second, you also need to consider financial capacity / stability. This doesn’t mean that the couple needs to be wealthy before having a baby. But they should understand that this entails more expenses on doctor’s fee and other professional fees, milk, diapers, prenatal vitamins and other medicines, and a lot more.
